Karien has more than 20 years’ experience as an independent trusted advisor to management and supervisory boards and as an interim (crisis) communications manager at companies ‘in dire straits’. At Value@Stake, she focuses mainly on stakeholder management, change and crisis communications in restructuring, turnarounds, mergers, acquisitions, insolvency and relaunch after bankruptcy. In the course of next year, Karien expects to obtain her PhD on her research into ‘stakeholder management in the context of a turnaround’
